Securing Serverless by breaking in!

Serverless infrastructures are game changers for security. However, they too can be hacked through coding mistakes or insecure vulnerabilities. In this session, we demonstrate such attacks and cover best practices to secure your application.

Abstract
Serverless applications are a game changer in many ways. On the one hand, we have ad-hoc servers that can be spun up when needed, without dealing with the security headache of managing them. On the other hand, microservices share more information than ever, often in a very insecure way.

In this session, we explore these security concerns in an example serverless application. We will show how attackers target such an application. We show how attackers exploit common weaknesses, . By attending this session, you will learn about common mistakes and their impact on your application. Most importantly, we will go over a set of best practices to avoid such problems in your applications.

This session is intended for anyone with (a bit of) experience with serverless architectures.
